Born at Ahmednagar on 20th November 1955, she started her Life Insurance & Non-Life Insurance Agency on 2nd February 1999, i.e. in her 40's when most women thing of Retiring. With her passion to succeed, in a very short span of time she has achieved a very significant position of over 15 times M.D.R.T (USA) Qualifier.

 Kalpana's hard work and determination to reach great heights in life led her to 2nd position amongst 450 competing agents within her Branch and ranked 19th amongst 3000 agents of Mumbai Division in the very First year of her joining LIC. Not only that, she ranked at the 1st position in her D.O.'s organization. Her M.D.R.T. qualification comes from USA, which is a very prestigious and respectable qualification in the Insurance industry and is recognized worldwide. Also she has earned more than 50 Awards and over 30 different Certificates of Achievement in various categories.

 She was an Editor of an insurance magazine, Excellent Insurance World, a prominent monthly magazine having nationwide circulation. Prior to joining the Insurance industry, Kalpana has also worked as a Freelance Journalist with the most prestigious Gujrathi Newspaper - Bombay Samachar. She has also worked for Lotus Learning and Aquafine Purifying Company.
